Education illustrations have had particular relevance in recent years,
as education issues dominate the local and national political landscape.

Illustrator Michael Gibbs, has been creating conceptual illustrations about education for over two decades. This one illustrated an article about Universities' temptation to take ethically questionable financial donations. The apple cleverly functions both as a symbol of education and tempatation; the snake, whose skin is made of $100 bills, strangles the apple, reinforcing the underlying premise that succumbing to tempation is damaging to education.

Other examples of education illustrations can be seen in Michael Gibbs's online portfolio.
